Our Purpose, Mission, and Vision Statements |
OUR HISTORY On Jan. 13, 1991, Open Door Community Church gathered at
the Perimeter East Presbyterian Church in Tucker, Georgia, for their
inaugural service. Open Door began
under the leadership of Rev. Dwight Linton with a small group of dedicated
Korean-American post-college singles.
Rev. Linton had served for many years in God planted Open Door as a body to worship and serve Him
with full commitment to the biblical faith. Open Door also serves to reach
out to those Asian-Americans seeking an English-speaking ministry independent
of a first generation immigrant church. The church has experienced many challenges and much
grace through the years. The very existence of Open Door for over 16 years
testifies to the grace and faithfulness of God. We give thanks and praise ultimately to Him
alone. We thank Him for the humble
servants who have pastored the church and for the faithful people who have
prayed, served, given, long-suffered and put their hope and trust in our
covenant-keeping God. TIMELINE 1991 (Jan 13) Open
